Content
Communication skills are among the most important competencies that project managers must possess. That is why you now have the exclusive opportunity to book a workshop with pma focus keynote speaker Tobias Endler. The focus of this three-part workshop series is on expanding and teaching project management skills:
- Practical social skills in the form of constructive and effective discussion techniques
- Identifying and effectively dealing with destructive discussion techniques
- Protecting personal well-being in controversial debate situations
The “Masterclass Debating Skills” consists of the following three parts:
Part 1 - What is populism, and why is it appealing to many people? What is a populist argument or statement, and how does it affect the atmosphere of discussion in project management contexts? How can I recognize populism, and how do I distinguish it from other phenomena in discourse? Why and to what extent is populism dangerous for constructive cooperation?
Part 2 – What are the favorite argumentation strategies and manipulative techniques of populists, and how can I recognize them in time and counter them effectively?
Part 3 – How do I protect my personal well-being when dealing with populists, e.g., in a controversial debate in the professional context of an ongoing project, but also in my private life? How do I lead my project to success in the face of populist “disruptions” while staying healthy—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
