The pma lounges extend event portfolio offered by Projekt Management Austria beyond the borders of Vienna and offers pma members and people interested in project management outside of Vienna the opportunity to participate in pma events. Since 2006 the pma lounge takes place regularly in different cities with different lectures of well-known companies with a focus on project management. The event format also acts as a networking platform to exchange information on current PM topics.

The presentation at the pma lounge in Innsbruck will be about “AI Tools in Project Management.” 

About the Presentation:

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way projects are planned, managed, and executed. In this presentation, project managers will gain an overview of how they can strategically use AI tools to increase efficiency, identify risks earlier, and make better decisions.

The presentation provides an overview of how AI supports the entire project lifecycle—from automated analysis and prioritization to intelligent resource planning and AI-supported communication and documentation.

About the Speaker:

Prof. Dr. Dietmar Kilian is an Austrian business and IT expert with over three decades of experience in management, digitalization, and process and project management. After holding senior positions at Nixdorf, Digital Equipment, and SAP Austria—where he served as Director of Sales for the manufacturing and retail sectors—he joined MCI – The Entrepreneurial University® in Innsbruck in 2002. There, he continues to serve as a professor and business consultant specializing in process and project management as well as digitalization.   

For many years, he has contributed his expertise as a business consultant, as the managing director of an international consulting firm, as an advisory board member for several IT companies, and as a board member of pma – Projekt Management Austria.   

Academically, Prof. Kilian holds degrees in Education, Economics, and Political Science from the University of Innsbruck. His areas of expertise include process and project management, knowledge management, channel and sales management, digitalization, and university pedagogy.
