Description

The pma quarterly offers pma members and people interested in project management a regular communication platform. Within the framework of the event series, we address current topics related to project management or present projects of renowned companies and the methods used in them. But the personal exchange between the participants is not neglected at these events either. Participation in the pma quarterly is free of charge for pma members. Within the framework of corporate memberships, the following free quotas apply for the participation of employees: supporting and corporate platinum membership - 5 persons, corporate gold and silver membership - 3 persons. We charge non-members a contribution towards expenses of EUR 60.00 (+10% VAT). Participation in the pma quarterly will be credited as further training according to pma/IPMA® in the context of re-certification.

The first pma quarterly 2026 will focus on the topic: ‘AI in project management: How artificial twins resolve blockages and strengthen teams.’

About the presentation

The use of agile methods in organisations poses particular challenges for project management. Collaboration in teams, embedding in complex organisational structures and decision-making outside the teams require considerable coordination effort. However, this leads to an increased need for meetings and can result in blockages due to dependencies and scattered knowledge. Collaboration becomes more complex and the flow of information slows down. ‘Artificial twins’ and AI-supported agents offer a novel solution here: using generative AI, they mirror roles such as product owner, scrum master or entire teams. They are permanently available for information, sparring or mentoring without delay. ‘Artificial twins’ often know business processes, organisational structures and project artefacts in more detail than their human counterparts. Through their reactive and proactive communication, they reduce bottlenecks and support agile working methods without replacing human actors.

The presentation will showcase the first implemented application scenarios, such as ‘project initialisation’. It will demonstrate how artificial twins can significantly improve efficiency and collaboration in agile projects and reduce the workload for project managers. Discover how this innovative technology is shaping the future of agile project management.
