Description
The pma quarterly offers pma members and people interested in project management a regular communication platform. Within the framework of the event series, we address current topics related to project management or present projects of renowned companies and the methods used in them. But the personal exchange between the participants is not neglected at these events either. Participation in the pma quarterly is free of charge for pma members. Within the framework of corporate memberships, the following free quotas apply for the participation of employees: supporting and corporate platinum membership - 5 persons, corporate gold and silver membership - 3 persons. We charge non-members a contribution towards expenses of EUR 60.00 (VAT-free). Participation in the pma quarterly will be credited as further training according to pma/IPMA® in the context of re-certification.
At the 2nd pma quarterly 2025, Dagmar Silvius-Zuchi and Gilbert Silvius will discuss the integration of sustainability into project management under the title ‘Harmonising projects with ESG strategies: The interplay of different roles’. As part of the discussion, Elisa Gramlich, ESG Programme Manager at Wiener Stadtwerke, will also share her experiences and views on this topic.
About the presentation
With the further development of ESG strategies (Environmental, Social & Governance) of organizations, the consideration of sustainability in projects is becoming increasingly important. A milestone in this development is the publication of the IPMA Sustainable Project Management ICB4 Reference Guide at the last IPMA World Congress in Cape Town, which will form the basis for IPMA certifications in the field of sustainable project management. A central topic of the Reference Guide is the alignment of a project's impact on society and the environment within the framework of the organization's ESG goals and strategies. This alignment is necessary, but is often challenging in practice. The social and environmental impacts of projects are often not transparent, making it difficult for project managers, project owners and portfolio managers to establish this alignment. The pma quarterly will highlight the contributions of different roles in the organization to this alignment and demonstrate a practical tool, the “Sustainable Impact Analysis”, which can be applied in the initial phase of a project to support alignment with ESG strategies.
