Recertification fee

The re-certification fee is for

• pma members EUR 170,50 (incl. 10% VAT)
• Non-members EUR 203,50 (incl. 10% VAT)

Prerequisite

Valid certificate as Project Management Associate IPMA® Level D

• Experience (activity)

Proof of at least 350 person days of PM activity (PM, PTM, PMA, .... ) since certification or the last recertification over the entire duration.
OR

• Knowledge (further education)

At least 175 hours of professional training must be demonstrated since certification or the last re-certification over the entire duration.
OR

• Experience & Knowledge

With this variant you must reach 350 points.

• 1 person day PM activity = 1 point
• 1 hour of professional training = 2 points

The following further training measures will be credited to the respective extent:

Attendance at events or attendance at classroom sessions will be assessed on the basis of the hours indicated. It must be taken into account that each lesson/lecture must be assigned to a competence element - if this is not possible, these hours cannot be taken into account for the recertification process.

One hour corresponds to one hour of the required further training certificate:

• Classroom instruction at colleges, universities of applied sciences and/or universities/etc.
• Training and further training in project management
• Participation in conferences or symposia
• Further professional activities (project work, diploma theses, ...) and further training can be accepted by the certification body in individual cases, provided that the candidate can prove a connection to the competence elements. As a rule, one hour of further training proof for re-certification is recognised for one hour of activity, but a maximum of 75 hours for this area per re-certification.

• Non-members EUR 473,00 (incl. 10% VAT)

Prerequisite

Valid certificate as Project Manager IPMA® Level C

• knowledge

At least 175 hours of professional and technical further training must be proven since the certification or the last re-certification over the entire duration.

• experience

Proof of at least 50% PM management activity (for Level B of complex projects) since certification or the last recertification over the entire duration (only one project is counted in the case of overlapping projects)
 

The following further training measures are credited to the respective extent:

• Continuing education at universities and/or universities of applied sciences/etc.: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of proof of further education for re-certification - final examinations are rated higher
• Training and further training in project management: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of further training proof for re-certification.
• Participation in conferences or symposia with the aim of continuing education: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of continuing education certification for re-certification.
• In-house further training: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of further training proof for re-certification.
• Implementation of own seminars or presentations based on self-created documents: Up to 60 hours per recertification phase will be credited.
• Publication of books, articles, white papers and blogs: One hour for re-certification for every 3 pages, but a maximum of 60 hours for each re-certification phase is charged
• Self-study: Up to 60 hours per re-certification will be credited.
• Assessor for pma (IPMA certifications): 1 assessment corresponds to 5 hours of further training proof for re-certification, but a maximum of 80 hours per re-certification phase is credited.
• Further professional activities and further training can be accepted by the certification body in individual cases. The rule here is that for one hour of activity one hour of further training proof is recognised for re-certification, but a maximum of 40 hours per re-certification phase is credited.

• Experience

Proof of at least 50% PM management activity (of very complex projects of strategic importance) since certification or the last re-certification over the entire duration (only one project is counted if projects overlap).

The following further training measures are credited to the respective extent:

• Continuing education at universities and/or universities of applied sciences/etc.: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of proof of further education for re-certification - final examinations are rated higher
• Training and further training in project management: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of further training proof for re-certification.
• Participation in conferences or symposia with the aim of continuing education: One hour of classroom instruction corresponds to one hour of continuing education certification for re-certification.
