With around 1,300 members, Projekt Management Austria is Austria's leading project management association. Members and interested parties can expand their project management knowledge and make new contacts at numerous events. pma provides a platform for trends and innovation in project management as well as further training for project managers. In addition, pma also sees itself as a network for career starters and experts from all sectors. In Austria, pma offers the possibility of certification according to the IPMA® standard. The pma certification body certifies project managers according to different professional experience and competencies in accordance with the validation by IPMA® in levels D, C, B and A.

Through certification and the introduction of measurable standards in project management, the establishment of the job profile “project manager” is promoted. Project Management Austria deals with project and program management, the management of project-oriented companies and management in the project-oriented society. pma has published its approaches in the pm baseline. This presents knowledge elements and methods of project and programme management as well as the management of project-oriented organizations in a comprehensive and compact manner. Together with the currently valid version of the ICB (Individual Competence Baseline), the pm baseline also forms the basis for project management certification by pma.
